My Approach to Helping
Interested in trying something different? Therapy can be much more than sitting in a dim office talking about your problems. Many people benefit from taking an active and nature-based approach to their therapy. I provide experiential counseling services, often incorporating activities like hiking, rock climbing, yoga, Tai Chi, and various mindfulness exercises. This approach is highly effective with individuals with depression, anxiety, autism spectrum disorder, intellectual disabilities, ADHD, impulse control issues, or other disorders related to inattentiveness, self-regulation, self-esteem, or stress managementresponse.
My approach incorporates movement and somatic counseling techniques in order to assist clients in drawing connections between their struggles and somatic issues they experience. It facilitates a stronger mind-body connection and helps move clients towards a greater sense of self. Great for those who have struggled with more traditional styles of therapy.
If you feel that an active and experience-based approach to counseling might work for you, please feel free to reach out by phone or email to set up your free 30-minute consultation.
