My Approach to Helping
My style is engaged, authentic and direct. Depth psychotherapy engages our curiosity about ourselves in the service of development. In my practice I am committed to helping people feel better, have satisfying relationships, meaningful work and deep engagement in life. I hold deep respect for the ways in which culture, race, class, gender, gender identity, immigrant status, sexuality, and physical ability can impact your experiences and sense of yourself.
More Info About My Practice
I work with adults, adolescents, children and couples / families. If you are anxious, depressed, or lonely; stuck in a troubled relationship, hobbled by grief, haunted by childhood trauma, or in the middle of painful or confusing feelings, it can be hard to make headway alone. There are times when the reason for coming to therapy is clear (a loss, a crisis), and other times when there is a sense that there is something holding you back, or keeping you stuck.
Exploring relationship patters and transforming difficulties arising from trauma, or childhood experiences is a deeply collaborative process. I have over 20 years of experience as a psychotherapist. I have postgraduate training in developmental and attachment theories, contemporary psychoanalytic theories and family systems; creative art therapies, sandtray, and dream work.
