My Approach to Helping
Our lives are overwhelming with so much to do, so many worries, and many challenges. Often times we find ourselves praying and at the same time attempting to take control and try to solve our own problems. Perhaps we need to listen more and hear Jesus saying, "Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?" (Matthew 6:27).
It's hard to know where to turn when you are suffering. Most of us want someone to empathize with us, validate our feelings, and offer us hope. My practice is focused on providing a Biblical-based approach to counseling, to offer you hope in the midst of your circumstances.
I believe therapy is collaborative, meaning you and I will work together as a team to identify goals and areas you would like to work on. My role is to listen compassionately in order to understand your story and provide you with a Biblical perspective, helpful tools and skills, and use evidence-based best practices to help you gain awareness to move forward.
