I approach my therapy work with my clients as a transformative experience for my clients. I use a holistic, humanistic, non-pathological, orientation towards our therapeutic process as I believe each client is a unique individual who possesses strengths and inner resources to heal and feel better. My job as a therapist is to recognize and help bring about your self-awareness and empower you with insights, tools, skills and modes of thinking, feeling and behaving so you can make long-term changes and transform your lives in meaningful ways. You are not your problem. You are a powerful being who can learn to attune to your strengths and highest potential by becoming self-aware and in control of yourself.

More Info About My Practice

I use mindfulness-based practices, cognitive-behavioral and psychodynamic approaches to understand and address the ways by which one aspect of a person can lead to concerns in other areas. When we are in distress or unease, our whole being is affected. Our mental, emotional and physical well-being are not separate but one and interactive. By working with you on your issues or aspirations, we look at and become aware of how our mind affects our emotions and bodies or how our emotions affect our minds and bodies, and consequently our behaviors and actions. This is the path to ultimate well-being.

My Role as a Therapist

My personal mission as your counselor and therapist is to ensure you are better when we finish therapy than when we first met. I believe we can all feel better when we feel heard, supported, and validated. I know that insights and awareness of our situation can help us cultivate coping skills that aid the process of healing.

If you feel depressed, stressed, or anxious, if you are grieving a breakup, loss, or loss of ability, or if you are plagued by feelings of failure, you can heal. If you have low self-esteem, struggle with confidence, self-control, or believing in yourself, you can get better. Doing nothing can affect your mental and physical well-being. You don?t have to suffer alone. Seek help from someone who can help you find a way to feel better. If you worry about feeling safe talking to someone you don?t know, know that I am not here to judge. I want to help. What we talk about is always confidential.

You owe it to yourself to tend to your own needs. I hope to support you as you do so. We?ll start where you are, and prioritize the concerns that matter most to you.
