My Approach to Helping
Benjamin May is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 15 years of experience working with children, adolescents and families. Benjamin has experience of working with individuals living with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, domestic violence, family issues and school-based concerns. Benjamin utilizes an approach based on individual assessment and learned skills by providing individualized treatment based on his clients’ needs and identified goals.
Benjamin obtained his Master of Social Work in Children and Families at Washington University in St Louis, and Bachelor of Art in Psychology from the University of Houston Clear Lake in Houston. Benjamin has provided services headed by multi-disciplinary treatment teams in several states including adolescent treatment facilities, hospice care, and private practice with children, adolescents, and families who have experienced major depression, domestic violence, bulling, divorce and a wide range of challenges facing families in need.
Benjamin believes everyone is capable of positive change with the appropriate learned skills and support to succeed. Becoming a powerful person is a personalized journey that requires positive assessment of the clients’ life to educate and understand its impact on reaching the clients’ goals and becoming a success.
