My Approach to Helping
Whether you feel stuck, trying to work through a traumatic experience or find yourself in a relationship that does not feel satisfying to you, I will support you in getting a deeper understanding of yourself and in finding solutions that will work for you. I also believe that many of our difficulties arise from traumatic experiences whether from a single event or ongoing exposure as a child andor adult. I will support you in working through the symptoms of trauma and how they affect your physical and emotional health as well as being in relationships with others.
The therapy I provide can be described as integrative and relational with a focus on attachment and trauma. I am trained in the Trauma Resiliency Model® and Community Resiliency Model® and am in the process to become certified in attachment-focused EMDR. I will use techniques from these and other areas of psychology to tailor treatment to your needs.
