My Approach to Helping
Transitions in life can be confusing and scary. I'm here to help people move through fear of the unknown and understand what is happening. Learning these life lessons can provide a foundation for the rest of your life.
When life turns out "different than expected" it can be the result of a divorce, job loss, relationship meltdown, or family disappointments. It's hard to know how to move through the flood of emotions that may emerge with the chaos. I work with clients to uncover old, outmoded belief systems that no longer work, and identify their authentic self that may lay hidden beneath these beliefs.
More Info About My Practice
I work with both individuals and couples. My practice focuses on life transition issues for young adults, mid-lifers, and elderly populations. Difficult life events such as divorce, job loss, health challenges or the mid-life passage can call into question what we really want in life. Emotions erupt ranging from depression, anxiety, and grief, to confusion, stagnation or a sense of giving up. Unresolved childhood trauma, family chaos and identity struggles often announce the need for healing by way of emotional symptoms like anger, relationship problems, work conflicts and difficulty coping with life in general.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Change - the one thing we can truly count on in life. The ONLY thing we can count on in life. Yet so many of us are frightened of change, or resist it until we break. This is the core of all life transitions and I particularly love working with mid-life changes. It's an interesting time when we have garnered enough courage and life-experience to begin the discovery process, but still seek a partner or guide to walk with us. Being that partner is my specialty.
