More Info About My Practice

I offer counseling for adults, adolescents, and couples, working with several different issues and concerns including anxiety, depression, bullying, intrusive thoughts, negative thinking, problems communicating, conflict resolution, relationship problems, and loss of a loved one. I use a combination of talk therapies, including person-centered, strengths-based, and solution-focused. Most often integrating cognitive behavioral therapy with motivational interviewing. I like to teach breathing, relaxation, better coping skills, mindfulness, and meditation. I find eye movement desensitization and reprocessing very helpful for clients who have had traumatic experiences that have continued to keep them stuck. These clients find a way to move forward past that place and into the next chapter of their lives with a positive outlook and promising future. Please take the time to call me. I look forward to talking with you! My office is located in downtown Indiana on Philadelphia Street. The office is private, safe, comfortable, and discrete.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Our first session is referred to as the initial assessment and is usually about an hour and a half. After that session, we will talk about goals and objectives for therapy, how often we will meet, and approximately the number of sessions it may take to reach your goals. Most clients like to meet weekly for about an hour, some others prefer to meet every other week, and some have to consider their work schedules, babysitters, and other obligations. I will work with your schedule, making our time together convenient for you.
