My Approach to Helping
Humor and collaboration in a non-judgemental environment is what I provide for my clients. In my experience, often, we already have what we need inside of ourselves to be happy and healthy but it can take someone else to help us access our own inner wisdom and healing capabilities. Learning coping skills to manage stress and anxiety can make a dramatic difference in our lives.

On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
Making a decision to see a therapist can be a difficult one. Often people feel they shouldn't HAVE to go see a therapist, they SHOULD be able to handle things on their own. My response that is "but it's so much easier to have someone help. Why deprive yourself of that? You hire movers to move your furniture when you move no problem." No one wants to feel judged. My client tell me that they feel so relieved after being able to talk through their issues with someone who specializes in "dealing with issues".
The Duration and Frequency of Therapy
Most often my clients will meet with me weekly if their schedule allows. I have some longer-term clients who come every other week. Everyone is different, but generally in the beginning, we meet weekly, then we may go to every other week. Most clients work with me for a few months. There are instance when therapy will take longer depending on the issues that are being worked on.
