My Approach to Helping
Children can have challenging behaviors that leave parents feeling frustrated and helpless. My goal is to provide a supportive, nurturing, and safe space for families to grow. My practice, Trailhead Psychology, is dedicated to working with infants, children, teens, and families. I am especially passionate about working with young children (infants, toddlers, and preschool-age) and their families, fostering resilience and strengthening parent-child relationships. I also particularly enjoy working with pregnant and postpartum women as they transition into motherhood.
I help children to express themselves, cope with difficult experiences, and develop skills for handling life's challenges. I also incorporate parent coaching to improve relationships, reduce conflict, and build parenting skills. I often help parents explore how their own upbringing has impacted their parenting responses and choices.
I believe that, when given the necessary support and resources, people can thrive even in the most difficult of situations. I welcome you to visit my website at www.trailheadpsychology.com to learn more about me and my approach.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
I provide individual and family therapy to children birth to 18 years, families, and pregnant and postpartum women. I also co-lead a Baby & Me postpartum support group.
I am especially passionate about my work with young children (infants, toddlers, and preschool age) and their families. I enjoy seeing families become more connected, children feeling better and developing skills to manage their behaviors, and parents becoming more confident in their parenting skills and their ability to respond to their child.
I enjoy helping parents become the best parents they can be - the parents they want to be for their children. It is incredibly rewarding for me to see a parent's confidence in their own parenting skills grow and their relationship with their child becoming positive and rewarding. I frequently incorporate parent coaching to improve the parent-child relationship, manage difficult child behaviors, establish healthy child routines, build parenting skills, reduce family conflict, cope with life transitions, and to change negative patterns of relating. Through this work, we also focus on strengthening the bond between child and parent, developing more effective ways to relate and support the child's emotional needs and bring more joy to parenting.
I am devoted to working with pregnant and postpartum women. Even under the best of situations, the transition to parenthood is a sensitive, challenging time in both a mother's and child's life. I provide a safe space to receive support and facilitate personal growth.
