My Approach to Helping
The messy, imperfect beauty of life inspires me. I specialize in working with individuals experiencing significant life transitions. Whether it be changing a career, ending or beginning an intimate relationship, facing grief or outgrowing particular patterns of behavior. I am here to witness, support and advocate for you. I also specialize in working with those raised in dysfunctional and/or alcoholic families. As a clinically trained contemplative psychotherapist, I am dedicated to supporting individuals in remembering and living their inherent worth, wildness and gifts. I provide insight-oriented, attachment-focused therapy that incorporates mindfulness and body-based awareness into sessions.
I will support you by offering gentleness, spaciousness and focused attention as you develop the skill of putting your thoughts, feelings and body sensations into words. It is my view that as we cultivate relationship with our own discomfort we experience greater fulfillment, ease and joy in our lives!
It is my intention that our therapeutic relationship will provide a place for you to begin, or continue, the process of exploring both the conscious and unconscious parts of your experience. By deepening into relationship with yourself you in turn deepen the quality of your relationships with others.
