My Approach to Helping
Is your stress consuming your life? Are you suffering from depression? Are your anxious thoughts interfering with your school, work, or interpersonal relationships? Do you need someone to hold a safe space for you to explore the depth of your emotions or past experiences?
If you are suffering, I am here to help. You might have noticed increased irritability, feelings of panic, lack of sleep or focus, or even a lack of enthusiasm for things you normally enjoy. These symptoms are exhausting and it’s important for you to get the relief you need, with the support and space that will get you there.
My approach involves a collaborative effort. My main approach is very Gestalt based with a mindful perspective and a narrative style. I strive to meet people where they are in their journey, wherever that may be. I work with many issues but I specialize with young adult issues, anxiety, depression, stress, and trauma.
I am trained in utilizing eye movement desensitization and reprocessing (EMDR) for trauma and distressing life experiences and incorporate EMDR techniques into my day-to-day practices.
