Growth and transformation result from an increased awareness and insight into self. I believe we fully flourish when we reach a point of meaning and connection with ourselves. Finding oneself through the appreciation of one's own uniqueness can occur in conscious dynamic dialogue. A therapeutic relationship facilitates this kind of journey. I take a carefully inquisitive and supportive role and encourage self-expression and meaning-making. Therapy can be stimulating and challenging at the same time and learning to be comfortable with tension is part of my approach to this work.
My View on the Purpose of Psychotherapy
My work integrates the evidence-based practices of Depth Psychology and Acceptance Commitment Therapy, and also draws from my background in Spiritual Psychology and my training as an Addiction Counselor. I enjoy working with individuals, couples and families struggling with the challenges of interpersonal relationships and the daily, and often overwhelming, realities of life. I believe that optimal wellness involves being able to respond to life challenges with kindness, acceptance and a growth mindset. I am committed to a therapeutic process that fosters a strong and stable sense of self, while valuing the diversity of each individuals unique journey and goals.
