We all long to live full, rich, meaningful lives. But sometimes it feels like pain, anxiety, or fear is blocking our path. This is where therapy comes in.

I am deeply invested in helping people define for themselves what matters most, overcome fears and perceived limitations, act with intention and purpose, and live full and vital lives. My approach is evidence-based, meaning I draw from cutting-edge psychological research and tried and therapy techniques in my work. I have a holistic, time-efficient, active, and highly collaborative style, encouraging you to offer regular feedback and continuously co-create your therapy plan with me. Ultimately, I see myself as a fellow human being walking this journey alongside you, and I aim to provide a safe, compassionate space for you to explore and expand.

I have experience working with a wide variety of issues and concerns, and my specialty areas include working through trauma, addressing anxiety and rumination, transforming habits and behavior patterns, clarifying values, improving relationships, and exploring issues of identity, intimacy, and sexuality.

More Info About My Practice

We live in a dizzying, hyper-advancing world. Technology can be as much a barrier as it can be an aid to us. I am passionate about seeking ways to utilize technology for social good in my work. For instance, we may explore different mobile apps together that can help you translate the inner emotional work of therapy into daily action. I also offer virtual reality-enhanced services, so that you can enter immersive spaces to facilitate relaxation and mindfulness, as well as to face fears and memories in a safe and graduated way.

If you tend to experience your emotions somatically (i.e. sensing distress in the form of physical pain or tension) I can offer yoga-informed care with an added emphasis on gentle movement and breathwork, as I am a certified yoga instructor. I am always happy to provide high-quality referrals for adjunct yoga services in the community as well.

It takes courage to look inward, and even more so to invite a therapist to be part of that process of self-discovery. If what I have said here resonated with you today, I hope you will consider reaching out. The first step is always the hardest. I'm here when you are ready.

What I Love about Being a Psychotherapist

Not a day goes by that I am not filled with gratitude and appreciation for the individuals that trust me with their stories, their dreams, their darkness, and their light. I am constantly awe-struck by the resilience of the human spirit. Watching people allow themselves to be raw and vulnerable, in order to overcome self-limiting beliefs, connect authentically with themselves, and take intentional and courageous actions in their lives, is a beautiful thing to behold. I am profoundly honored to bear witness to the unfolding and blooming of human beings in my work.

My Therapy Focus

For me, the driving force of therapy is personal values. Rather than focus too strongly on what is not going well or what "needs to change," I place emphasis on identifying and clarifying what matters most to you and then building a therapy plan around removing internal and external obstacles to living a life that is aligned with those values. In this way, I feel that my approach to therapy is strengths-based, individualized, and heart-centered.
