My Approach to Helping
"No man is an island," the famous English poet John Donne once wrote. It nicely sums up the purpose of counseling and therapy. The world and our lives are often much too complex, layered, and intricate for us to navigate and master on our own. And at times, emotions are too painful and situations too overwhelming for us to handle.
It is my strong belief that anyone, individuals and couples alike, can benefit from counseling and therapy no matter the situation or issue. We all deserve to live happy and fulfilled lives - there is hope and help available!
My approach to counseling and therapy is relaxed, casual, and with an open mind. It is based on your strengths and in mutual respect and admiration for the uniqueness and value of each individual. When appropriate, I sometimes use humor during our interactions as I find it liberating, anxiety reducing, and life affirming.
