More Info About My Practice

Promoting awareness and insight through mindfulness as well as emotion-focused therapies are large parts of my practice. While also incorporating aspects of cognitive, narrative and relational therapies, I truly feel that acknowledging and managing our present state is the first step to change. Focusing on strengths in addition to understanding unhelpful beliefs and unhealthy patterns is part of this complex process.
Another significant part of my practice is the focus on sexuality concerns. In an era where sex and sexuality are still not openly discussed in a non-judgmental and comfortable manner, it is vital that I offer not only knowledge but a permissive and empathic space for these topics. Whether an individual or couples concern, there is value in finding safety, confidence, and connection in our sexual being.

Choosing the right therapist can hugely impact the effectiveness of therapy; it can also feel daunting and overwhelming to find that person. While there are procedural factors that go into this choice, such as insurance, scheduling, and location, it is important to consider other aspects as well.
