My Approach to Helping
I provide psychotherapy for individuals, couples and adolescents focused on relieving anxiety and restoring relationships. In terms of my style I'm warm, engaging and easy to talk to. My practice is centered on empowering the individual's voice and creating authentic connections. I use several different modalities including mindfulness, positive psychology, and transpersonal theory. I believe in a mind body and spirit connection.
We are all both consciously and unconsciously motivated to engage in certain behaviors by past interpersonal relationships and unresolved conflicts. My approach is collaborative, and rooted in a respect for everyone’s need to be understood. Healing is a process that becomes possible with acceptance, and patience .I listen thoughtfully and will help you identify the underlying, unconscious forces that form, and sometimes limit your life.
Psychotherapy is about supporting you in getting beneath the layers of habit, addiction, stress and obsessive thinking and help you recognize the essential self within rather than relying only on the mind, which is often the source of negativity, I can help you find and trust this wisdom of the heart and the body.
