My Role as a Therapist

Give me a lever long enough and a fulcrum on which to place it, and I shall move the world.

The role of a Therapist is one of a facilitator. Taking bad situations or unending problems and turning them into experiences that give us strength.

What I Usually Need to Know to Help

During our first encounter, I generally like to hear about who you are and where you come from. The past often has details as to who your supports are and the structure of your family life. In addition, it is necessary for you to trust in the relationship that we build together. Checking in with you during and after our sessions help me know how you are feeling about the therapeutic process.

The Duration and Frequency of Therapy

Therapy should not be something that lingers on for years and years at a time. The goal of therapy is for you to have a safe place that allows you to talk about your anxiety, depression or marital issues. When you see me, I strive to create an environment that helps you address your issue, make positive changes in your life and help you re-create that on a daily basis. Simply put, I work myself out of a job.
