My Approach to Helping

Gemmed is founded and led by sisters Ellen and Annie Kuni, LMFT. Both having survived and recovered from eating disorders as teens and young adults, they created Gemmed to combine the most important pieces of eating disorder recovery - coping skills, community, food support, and therapy - and merged them all into one class.

Gemmed is so much more than just traditional therapy. Volunteers teach a creative activity that develops our spirit and our interests, like painting, yoga, dance, etc. We then eat a catered meal together to redevelop the joy of sharing a meal with friends, and lastly, we have group therapy led by Annie, an LMFT.

Are you or your child dealing with anorexia, bulimia, binge eating, low self-esteem, body dysmorphia, or just a disordered relationship with food? Faced recurrent relapse and need more support than just individual therapy? Stepping down from an inpatient facility and need some help reintegrating into "normal" life?

Assessments are always free! Give us a call or send us an email and come see our cool space right in the heart of West Hollywood. We are so excited to meet you and can't wait to help you on your recovery journey! To learn more about our program visit our website.
