My Approach to Helping
Many of my clients come to therapy because they are needing help with better ways to manage their stress and emotional well-being. I see a lot of clients who feel "stuck" and are struggling with some form of stress and anxiety that come from an unease or dissatisfaction with how their life is going. This is where I come in to guide and clarify your values and direction, getting you back on course with the things that are important to you.
I have extensive experience working with professionals in highly demanding career fields, especially those struggling with high levels of stress and anxiety in their job. I specialize in working with Type-A, high achievers, particularly those struggling with issues such as worklife balance, maldaptive perfectionism, and impostor syndrome. I provide a compassionate, curious, and non-judgmental environment where we explore your unique concerns and struggles. I also work collaboratively with you to develop ongoing and flexible goals to make the most out of each therapy session. Through the course of therapy, I will help you build effective coping skills based on mindfulness, self-compassion, and resiliency so that you are better-equipped to handle whatever stressors and challenges that may come up. Overall, my hope is to enhance your self-awareness and emotional well-being to live a more satisfying and meaningful life.
My treatment approach is informed by various evidence-based practices in psychotherapy, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Utilizing an integrative approach, as well as considering salient cultural factors that applies to you, my aim is to tailor the most appropriate interventions to meet your specific, individual needs.
