My Approach to Helping
As a therapist, I believe it is my mission to assist those struggling with the traumas that military service and high-stress positions can cause. My son served two tours in Iraq, and suffered PTSD until his passing in 2009. First responders and veterans deal with pain and stress on a day-to-day basis; they should never have to suffer alone.
It is critical to revitalize the minds and bodies of the young men and women who have served as military service members, firefighters, law enforcement, and emergency medical personnel. Together, I believe we can work to replace substance abuse and addictions with meaningful connections to family, friends, and hobbies, to recapture a healthy and enjoyable lifestyle for all Warriors.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Substance abuse and addiction can be deadly diseases, but can also be treated with consistent results - no guesswork involved. Often, these habits are paired with deep grief and feelings of loss. I also work with those experiencing Moral Injury, specifically received through traumatic events. These are all areas that I regularly explore in my therapy sessions. Unresolved grief is a difficult trial to overcome alone. There is no need to bear the burden of loss or shame without help.
