I believe people are resilient and have the inherent strengths to grow and recover from relational injuries, life's setbacks, and difficulties. In addition, people are made for connection, and so there can be great benefits of doing growth and recovery work together with another such as myself. The therapeutic relationship is a special type of relationship which assures confidentiality and creates a safe space for processing personal issues. My specialty is relationships and I work with individuals, couples, and families in strengthening, and repairing relationships. We are built for connection and we all long for connected relationships, and so the therapeutic relationship is a good place to start the work that you are desiring to do. I am an empathetic listener, and I have a gift of being able to synthesize complex situations and offer understanding, insights, acceptance, hope, and healing.

My Therapy Focus

When I listen to clients describe the content of their personal circumstances I find that underlying most if not all circumstances is a root associated with some form of relationship damage. While a story may not present explicitly as a damaged relationship, the present circumstance may be the consequence of a belief system about oneself or a belief system about others formed by a past damaging relationship. Ultimately we form our identity and our understanding of our place in the world through defining relationships. I find by healing relationships and by healing belief systems formed through relationships we can heal the individual and their interconnected relationships, such as couples and families.
