My Approach to Helping
I have experience providing individual, family, and group therapy to adults, adolescents, and their families. I received my Bachelor’s degree from Austin College in 2007 with a major in International Studies. I completed the Master's Degree of Social Work program at the University of Houston in 2018. While working toward my Master’s degree, I completed an internship with the adolescent program at The Council on Recovery. During this time, I was able to foster my passion for and commitment to working with families who are impacted by mental health and substance use issues. The bulk of my clinical work has been with clients for whom trauma, difficult family of origin systems, and problems in interpersonal relationships are part of their stories. I believe that holding space for individuals and families to do the courageous work of healing is a professional privilege and I approaches each client with an integrative, person-centered therapeutic lens.
