My Approach to Helping
It can get overwhelming looking over people's profiles so I will try to be as informative and concise to see if we could be a good fit together. I am a Bilingual (Spanish-speaking) Family Therapist who specializes in working with children, teens, couples, and families. I also have a passion for working with emerging adult women. I have a lot of experience working with families who have adopted children, trauma, family separation, anxiety, depression, sexual abuse, and parenting. I find it impactful to look at our family history and see how it has influenced us now.
I have specialized training in trauma and utilize EMDR and IFS as my approach. I have several workshop training in expressive therapies such as art and play therapy and am working towards becoming an RPT. I use a collaborative approach because I believe you are the expert in your life.
I began my career in 2011 working on skill building with families. Since then I have earned my Master of Family Therapy degree at Mercer University School of Medicine. I am a bilingual Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and would be honored to help you find your path to healing.
