My Approach to Helping

Aside from being a licensed clinical social worker, I am also a down to earth person who enjoys meeting people where they are and supporting them in their journey toward their best lives. My experience consists primarily of working with elderly, adult, and adolescent populations, age 14 and up. I worked for years as a hospice social worker, then later as a psychotherapist in private practice. I have also taught numerous skills classes for adolescents and adults geared toward learning different ways of coping with life stressors.

More Info About My Practice

I am honored and humbled to bear witness to the challenges and strengths that my clients bring to the table. I truly believe that every person has within themselves a sense of wisdom that can guide them toward not only surviving life but thriving within it. Sometimes we all need a little help to uncover that wisdom, and that’s where I come in. In my practice, I support those who desire more connectedness, wholeness, and peace within their personal circumstances. I work with individuals who may be feeling run down by anxiety, grief, self-doubt, or are trying to make their way through a life that is not the life they expected to be living.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

The beauty of engaging in a therapeutic relationship lies in having someone in your corner who can validate your truth, assist you in clarifying what you want out of life and help you realize your personal goals. We often set our expectations, only to find that life has other plans in store for us. Dealing with life's circumstances can be challenging, and you don't have to go through it alone. We all deserve to be fulfilled in our lives. Let's work together to help you reach your full potential.

Groups I Work With

Life can be difficult to navigate, especially for women in their 20s-40s, given the social pressures of roles they may play. I thoroughly enjoy treating this population through online therapy, for residents of Georgia and New York. If you are struggling to hold it all together while dealing with ever-changing life transitions, consider reaching out to me and let’s see how I can best support your personal journey.

My approach to therapy is eclectic, using mindfulness and CBT to bring out the best in my clients. Over time, I have come to view change as the only constant, so I find such value in being able to help my clients through significant life transitions they are facing. These might include themes such as quarter life crisis, grief and loss, parenting, anxiety.

I love meeting people where they are and seeing how I can support their walk through life in a non-judgmental and meaningful way. I always strive to work from a place of radical genuineness. If this sounds like the approach for you, and if you live in either Georgia or New York, feel free to reach out to me and we can go from there.
