My Approach to Helping
I have been fortunate to partner with adults who want to change the way they see themselves while deepening relationships with others. I am passionate about leading therapy groups, which I see as an antidote to isolation. I offer couples therapy to couples who want to address or understand their relationship needs. I also work with clients facing challenges such as depression, chronic illness, and invisible disabilities.
I am a pioneer in the field of group therapy for the medically ill. I lead four therapy groups, and specialize in supporting people struggling with chronic physical illnesses. I am a respected international and national speaker. I’m proud to work with clients who seek to change unproductive relationship patterns.
My professional services include having been an Associate Clinical Professor at UC Medical School, San Francisco, having been invited to help design and implement a training program for group psychotherapists which has become a highly respected part of The Psychotherapy Institute, where I continue to serve as a faculty member. I am Certified Group Psychotherapist, as well as a Fellow and former Board Member of the American Group Psychotherapy Society. I am currently serving on two boards: the International Human Learning Resources Network and the National Speakers Association/ Northern California.
I help my clients lead fulfilling and meaningful lives, change the way they view their stories, and stop being obstacles to their own success.
