My Approach to Helping
Hello, My name is Zuwaina. I enjoy lworking with individuals to help them feel better, understand themselves deeper, and break negative patterns. Her work involves helping clients to understand the root of their challenges so that a long-lasting change is possible. I also assists people to build and develop new coping strategies in order to reduce day-to-day distress to give clients the quickest relief possible! I help identify barriers that prevent people from feeling their best and assists clients to remove or address these in order to live their best life. As a psychotherapist, I strongly believes that therapy requires a non-judgmental atmosphere where clients can feel safe to openly share their experiences. I will work with you to make sure that your needs and goals are prioritized. This way, the process of psychotherapy is completely personalized and ensures that clients get the very most out of it.
I am trained in a variety of therapy methods, and uses a mix of these methods depending on the client’s goals and needs. The methods used include cognitive behavioural, psychodynamic, solution-focussed, and narrative therapies. I hold a master’s degree in clinical psychology and has participated in dozens of trainings and workshops to keep her knowledge up to date! I am a registered psychotherapist and has been in private practice for five years.
As your psychotherapist, I will be there to guide you through your journey. I will help you to process difficult emotions, gain clarity on your behaviour patterns and how they impact you, and develop new methods to bring you closer to your goals.
