My Approach to Helping
Being human is hard. It’s also full of beauty. In my practice, I support people who want to find more vitality, wholeness, and acceptance for their full self. Using holistic practices, including yoga and movement alongside talk psychotherapy, we will work to help you create more compassion for yourself, find more capacity to feel the hard things, and explore how to cope with the challenges of life. I can help you make more room for presence, connectedness, and joy. If you are new to therapy or are looking for a new counselor, I collaborate with bright, creative people like you who want to truly thrive in life.
I'm dedicated to listening to you and working together to become empowered in your body and in your mind. I am a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Registered Yoga Teacher. I earned a B.S. in Sociology and a M.A. in Counseling. I approach my work through an embodied feminist lens. My areas of focus are identity issues, women’s issues, embodiment, spirituality and the body, body image, sexuality (sex positive and lgbtqia2s+ affirming), and trauma.
