My Approach to Helping
When your goals are constantly out of reach, your peers are unsupportive or just don't get you, or you feel alien or disconnected, then maybe you've been wondering how you might need to change. The best parts of ourselves are often locked deep inside us. Self-doubt, a need for confirmation from others, a deprived or inflated sense of identity - these all lead to self-neglect, inadequacy, anxiety, depression, mania, fragmentation, sleeplessness, poor diet and exercise, boredom, loneliness, and despair.
Using brief and long-term therapy, together we will explore the core beliefs that stand between you and fulfillment. Judgmental goes out the window and an affirmative approach leads to self-knowledge and acceptance. When it works, you'll recover your inner strengths and build on them to become the person you wish to be.

Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
Many of my clients have suffered unfathomable traumatic loss, neglect, injury, or abuse. I provide a place of safety to explore memories and meaning. I want you to believe that you don't have to suffer alone - that I can share and hold your pain. While this is a vulnerable journey, growth can occur once acceptance has begun. With personal stories, mindfulness, CBT, and meditation to provide relief, you may finally begin on a road to recovering from the life you've lost. It is difficult to believe you can change when you are suffering, and I believe that the difficulties cannot be ignored. Nonetheless, I see the person that came to life with hope, and human potential. Nothing can take that from you forever, but someone needs to believe that it still exists within you. I never give up hope for my clients.
On the Fence About Going to Therapy?
If you are not sure whether therapy is right for you, it might help if you think about all of the goals you've set for yourself that you've put aside for reasons that seemed beyond your control. Therapy can help you explore the unconscious forces that have a negative impact on your life. Even people who feel well can benefit from therapy; we all wish to become more whole, more connected, and more in touch with our inner selves. Therapy help you explore your self in depth, to bring you to an understanding of who you are and who you can be.
