My Approach to Helping
We are all able to grow, change, and heal. However, patterns established in the past are difficult to change and lead to despair and difficulty. My goal is to help you understand yourself more fully and self-explore these patterns in order to gain better coping skills and live a happier life. I believe that increasing insight and awareness into repeated difficulties is a powerful way to change patterns of stress, sadness, and worry. In so doing, you can free yourself from unwanted thoughts, habits, and behaviors, while working toward a more fulfilling and meaningful existence.
My approach to therapy is supportive and focused on the depth of your experience. In order to help, I focus on how relationships shape our understanding of ourselves and others. I embrace collaboration and place a strong value on offering a comfortable, safe, and compassionate place to explore the struggles you face. I tailor my approach to meet the unique needs and wishes of each client.
