My Approach to Helping
I work with children ages 2-7 and have specialized in working with early childhood concerns for over 10 years. I believe in early intervention to help children have smoother, easier times as they grow. I am passionate about helping children work on family or life adjustments, trauma, separation anxiety, general anxiety, panic, phobias, attachmentrelational concerns, adoptionfoster care, and self-esteem. I work with children who are framed as “angry” or “behavioral”. I work with parents on how to adapt parenting to the specific child needs. I understand that taking the steps to begin therapy can be scary, and I provide a warm, compassionate, and safe space for families.

Important Factors for Choosing a Therapist
The number one important thing about making therapy successful is finding a therapist that you feel comfortable with and a therapist that you can connect with. People who have found the right therapist have an overall sense that the therapist is a good "fit" for them. I provide a nonjudgmental, safe space for clients to share their story. I want all of my clients to feel comfortable to be themselves in the therapy space.
Theoretical Influences that Guide My Work
I adjust my clinical work based on the individual needs of the client. There is no one size fits all style of therapy. I utilize a mix of relationship-based therapy strategies and theoretical frameworks including attachment theory, mindfulness based stress reduction, meditation, play therapy (for young children), EMDR for trauma, cognitive behavioral, somatic experience, and developmental repair.
