My Approach to Helping
My passion is to help people work through their negative interaction cycles and turn them into more positive, meaningful, and healthy interaction patterns with self, family members, or partners. I let my clients goals and reasons for coming to therapy determine the goals we work toward in therapy. Feel stuck? Let's work on what's holding you back. Feeling like miscommunication is happening and like your partner just isn't getting it? Let's work on that. Feeling unappreciated? Let's work on helping you find appreciation for yourself and helping those closely influencing that to find appreciation in your relationship. I also let clients decide if they want to bring faith into our work or not.
I offer talk therapy where I help explore negative interaction patterns, things from your childhood or life experiences that may be holding you back, attachment styles, and how your attachment style contributes to how you respond. I specialize in helping individuals work through their toxic relationships and the effects these relationships have on them.
My first priority is to build a safe place for anyone involved to be able to express their feelings and thoughts. I love being able to give those that don’t feel comfortable in normal circumstances, the ability to share anything they feel and truly be heard. Please feel free to text or call to schedule today if you are needing a safe place to voice your thoughts and feelings.

Vision
At Connected Pathways our understanding is that life gets hard and there are times of disconnection in your relationships (family, friends, community, or romantic relationships). We are here for you in those times. We help teach communication skills that will benefit you by being able to communicate for understanding instead of reacting within your relationships. We also help you recognize negative interaction cycles and help navigate positive change.
Mission
Connected Pathways strives to help clients form strong, healthy, and balanced relationships within the client’s systems in order to promote healing with self and others.
About Connected Pathways
Connected Pathways is about keeping your family and relationship connected despite having different paths taken in life. When we start out in our family of origin, we are on the path of our family. As we start to grow up and venture out on our own paths, others may join our path. The routes we take may create detours or merge a few different times with others, sometimes for a season and sometimes for life. Connected Pathways is here to help you navigate your path and keep you connected with your loved ones while keeping or finding your individuality.
Our founder, Andrea (Andi) Griffith has a master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy and is currently a Registered Intern with the state of Florida. Andi has worked as an educator from 2016 to 2023. She has also worked in the school system on the mental health side of the education system. She specializes in working with teens and parents, helping individuals navigate their past and present relationships, and helping couples work through issues. Andi created Connected Pathways because she is passionate about helping others achieve their goals and becoming the best version of themselves.
Who we serve and how we aim to help
We serve individuals, couples, and families that are in need of healing. We are versed in several different models of therapy but mainly use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT). EFT can be used with individuals, couples, and families although the format looks a little different. The main objective of EFT is to identify negative interaction patterns or patterns of behavior that are unhelpful or destructive, identify where those come from, and help the person heal the broken part (for individuals this includes their wounded inner child and for couplesfamilies, this includes interactions or communications between members). The journey may not be easy all the time but we are here with you throughout the process.

Why Going to Therapy Does Not Mean You are Weak or Flawed
Everyone has things that negatively impact them. Sometimes we don't know how to move past or process the negative things in life because we lack the skills and knowledge to do so. Being able to talk to someone from an outside perspective, allows us to get more curious about our behaviors and thinking patterns which helps us unlock the answers we have been seeking. We don't know our thinking is blocked if no one has challenged us or we have been surrounded by the same type of thinking in others, such as our family of origin.
There is a thing called "epigenetics" which means that our trauma, ways of thinking, behaving, and being come from generations before us. Trauma alters our DNA and therefore, is passed down to our children. It is important to recognize that the change in DNA or traumatic events of our own, often influence how we attach to people or form relationships. We may develop anxious, avoidant, or disorganized attachment styles which leads us not to be satisfied in the relationships we do form.
