My Approach to Helping
We all have a story. My approach begins with listening to your experiences and using that information to minimize distressing reactions and possibly return you to your original well being and or bring hope for a changed path. The next phase usually involves providing tools and practices that might bring some immediate relief and then work through any residual issues that might complicate the healing process as we work toward your goals.
More Info About My Practice
My body, mind, soul, and spirit approach adopts from the works of John Gottman, Dan Allender, and Ev Worthington as well as cognitive theories that challenge the thoughts we have and how they affect the present. I have over 13 years of experience in the helping field - that does not include time in customer service positions that helped influence my career change.
Specific Issue(s) I'm Skilled at Helping With
While I feel skilled helping in many areas, one's that some are not as acquainted are issues involving marriages. Problems can range from everyday squabbles to emotional distance, intimacy anorexia, recovery from affairs and or sexual addictions. These areas can take more time to see progress, however, with a lot of work, there can be a change. There is nothing like seeing a couple hold hands again during a session as they overcome issues that once drove them into separate rooms.
