My Approach to Helping
Amy Griffin, MA, ATR, LMHC, received her Master of Arts in Art TherapyCounseling in 2010 at Southwestern College (SWC), after which she established “creativity in motion” as a model for practice in which her therapeutic approach is process oriented and mindfulness based art as therapy. Amy's approaches to art as therapy stem from person- centered tx; grounded in CBT, SFBT, and gestalt modalities that integrates art as therapy into life. Ms. Griffin empowers individuals to find strength and resilience within oneself; honoring one's unique and individual process. Amy has creative experience working with children, adolescents, adults in recovery, LGBTIQA communities, and the elderly with depression, grief & loss, trauma oriented including Near Death (NDE), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), anxiety, PTSD and autism.
