My Approach to Helping
I understand that you need someone who listens and helps you build tools to feel better and make changes. I work collaboratively with clients to make changes that bring fulfillment by developing new insights and skills. I tailor treatment to my client's needs by integrating evidence-based treatments like cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), psychodynamic, and acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT). I work with a range of issues from anxiety, to relationships, to unexpected life transitions, and my experience and flexibility allow me to meet clients wherever they are on their journey.
My clients tell me they appreciate my warmth, perspective, and compassion. I help clients to decrease distress and increase well-being in a safe and non-judgmental environment. I value a strong therapeutic relationship as a vehicle for new understanding and believe that clients' ability to be open is one of the most important aspects of therapy. I work with clients in the first few sessions to ensure they feel we are a good fit.
