My approach and philosophy to helping people is to focus on what is right with them, not what is wrong with them. I give a positive diagnosis, assessing strengths, aptitudes, and attributes which builds self-esteem. I use holistic methods to decrease anxiety, depression and other self-destructive behaviors. Many people find me because I am a holistic psychotherapist-and use techniques which help clients recover from depression and anxiety rapidly. I am trained and certified in neuro-nutrient therapy which targets imbalanced brain chemistry and often produces low self-esteem, negativity, low energy and anxiety, sleep problems and overeating. Through natural anti-depressant therapy and holistic counseling, clients can feel better and more positive in just a matter of weeks. I have helped many people recover and find out how resilient and empowered they really are. I help clients to change their thinking and mindset so they can start healing and attracting the life they want to live. How My Own Struggles Made Me a Better Therapist
Everyone has struggles, times in life where you feel knocked down, alone, different, sad or hopeless. I can relate. Sometimes people don't realize their own strength and resilience inside until years later. This is what happened to me. I was a product of family dysfunction, addiction (both parents addicts) and abuse. I had to go down a path in young adulthood where I needed to find myself, as I didn't feel a strong sense of self. After working through many struggles, attending graduate school which promoted self-awareness, and therapy I found that helping others was really helping myself and was my true life purpose. Later, helping others find their true potential and their best self became a spiritual practice. I found my inner strength to share with others who can perhaps find theirs as we work together. We know from research on resilience, that all it takes is one person to show compassion and care to help make us feel like we can get through anything and thrive. Having healed myself of depression, anxiety and sleep issues with natural remedies I am such a strong believer that we do not always need medication to balance our brain chemistry. We can do this naturally! (Although there is a place for meds for severe mental health disorders this natural approach helps with anxiety, panic, depression, low energy, sleep and cravings/overeating. I was so inspired, I read everything I could get my hands on regarding ortho-molecular medicine (healing through nutrition and extra nutrients/vitamins) and then discovered my post-graduate training program with best selling author and clinician, Julia Ross. I studied for an entire year practicing and fine-tuning different "remedies" and programs for people because there is no one -size -fits -all approach. Anti-depressants cause many side effects which most people cannot tolerate. I have not met one client who says: "I just LOVE taking anti-depressants, they really help me!" My training in nutrition and holistic wellness is complementary as we are what we eat, think, drink and rest. I am highly intuitive, as I needed to be to survive as a child so and I use this skill in my practice to help clients articulate the feelings which are hard to expose and to sometimes help people see a path that they perhaps do not see for themselves. I am a huge animal lover and feel my dogs were a part of my journey to loving myself and others, so I am supportive of clients who feel comforted and strengthened by their animal. My passion is helping clients be able to secure the connection to their beloved animal by helping their dog or cat be their emotional support animal. Sometimes, that one animal can be life-saving and I am here to help clients keep their animal by their side to help heal depression and anxiety which we know from research, animals help our brains produce endorphin and serotonin. I don't share my story with everyone, and only give nuggets of wisdom if it helps my clients realize and harness their potential to heal, recover and rise strong. We all need to be inspired and have mentors and teachers in life, so hopefully I can be yours!
