My Approach to Helping
Finding a therapist sounds like an easy task, but it can be incredibly stressful and time-consuming. I want to make this process easier. Before I tell you more about myself, I first want to talk about myself as a therapist and the individuals I can help. I believe connections are at the heart of human experiences, and therapy is another connection that can lead you to exactly where you want to be in life. This process is about you and for you, so I want to help you quickly determine if I am a good fit for what you are looking for.
We’ve all seen the cliché therapists on TV. The ones who smile, nod, then say things like “hmmm, interesting” or “How does that make you feel?” I am not that cliché therapist. Sure, I will smile, nod, and may say those things, but I will also roll up my sleeves and dive in the right alongside you. You don’t have to go through this alone; I will be with you every step of the way.
Now that I’ve told you about me as your therapist let me tell you more about how I can help. Others may say how wonderful your life must be and how you always seem to have it together, but you know this could not be further from the truth. Every day, you feel like you are carrying a huge secret and feel pressure to be someone you are not. You feel out of place, and like you don’t belong anywhere. Maybe you’ve recently gone through a change and are trying to figure out where to go.
I work with people to discover themselves again. It’s time to put yourself first and quiet the inner voice saying you aren’t good enough. You have earned the right to take a deep breath and let go of the pressure you feel every day to be someone else. You can rebuild your connection with yourself.
