My Approach to Helping
I see you! Are you struggling to make it in a neurotypical world? Have you buried the pain that trauma evokes? I'm here to help you build resilience, a sense of self, and to feel whole again.
I utilize several approaches such as cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), dialectical behavioural therapy (DBT), solution-focused therapy, EMDR, and narrative therapy. I work from a trauma-informed, neurodiverse, culturally sensitive lens, with a client centered approach giving you opportunity to take an active role in your treatment planning.
You're an individual and there's only one you! I believe it's my job to help you develop the confidence in self and learn how to empathize and grow yourself in the areas you feel that you're struggling. I also view the therapeutic relationship like any other, we need to have a connection in order for you to see results! I'm ready when you are.
