My Approach to Helping
I use a solution-focused, interactive style of therapy where we will create goals together and start to foster positive transformation from the first session. Solution-focused therapy often leads to increased insight and significant change with less time spent in therapy. Sessions are uplifting and incorporate a collaborative approach to creating solutions. I have extensive experience working with anxiety, low self-worth, negative thinking, depression and helping clients gain new insight into underlying core issues in order to overcome self-limiting beliefs. I offer in-office and phone or video conference sessions.
I feel that an interactive, Mindfulness-based approach using Cognitive-Behavioral techniques is the best way to create positive, lasting change. Mindfulness is a highly effective, evidence-based practice incorporating simple, practical tools. You will learn how to use these practices to change your habitual thought patterns and embrace new ways of thinking.
I see my role as a non-judgmental listener and an experienced clinician that can offer effective therapeutic techniques and constructive feedback. As a 20-year Navy wife and mother of three, I can relate to the struggle to balance all aspects of our lives. I am a Flagler College graduate and offer student discounts as well as free 15-minute phone or in-office consultations.
