My Approach to Helping

Are you looking for someone with whom you can talk, feel safe, and who can offer you help? Do you want a real change or break from what you're going through right now? Please consider that I would like to help. Initiating therapy can be daunting, but so worth it if you try it. If you are experiencing intense anxiety, panic attacks, unwanted negative thoughts, flashbacks or nightmares, there is no need to struggle anymore alone. If you are dominated by fear or are spending most of your time avoiding painful memories or thoughts, there are ways to heal and have a fulfilling life again. I am trained in researched treatments that can provide relief from these symptoms and give you your life back. If you are feeling caught in an unhealthy relationship, controlled, isolated, or have low self-esteem, I would consider it a privilege to be the person with whom you share these burdens and can be a "sounding board" who understands your situation and can help you move forward.

More Info About My Practice

It is my goal to help you find renewed hope, healing, and a sense of peace through the process of therapy. It is important to me that you feel truly heard, are able to trust me and can have the freedom to talk about topics that are perhaps "taboo" or too hard to bring up with others. I accept you wherever you are at currently in your life.

How Psychotherapy Can Help

Many people feel "crazy" or think "there must be something wrong with me" if they find themselves in an unhealthy relationship, or are still experiencing distress after something traumatic. However, the good news is that your responses actually make a lot of sense, and symptoms of PTSD are some of the most treatable issues in mental health today. Through this therapy, you can learn about biological trauma responses, how to decrease reactivity to triggers, identify red flags in relationships, change negative beliefs about yourself or others, and increase self-confidence. I do this work because I care deeply, believe it is possible to change, and have seen it happen in many people's lives already. I encourage you to reach out, because it can make all the difference.
