My Approach to Helping
I approach all clients with empathy, respect, and a sincere desire to help. I trust in each individual's innate ability to heal and discover a more meaningful, satisfying and emotionally healthy life. I feel truly honored to be on this journey with each person that comes through my door, helping to remove barriers to achieving happiness, peace, and self-satisfaction. I always remain fully present and engaged, treating you as the individual you are. This is why I draw upon several proven modalities, customizing treatment for YOU. I am direct, open, and mindful, always warmly meeting you where you are and guiding you closer to where you wish to be.
If working with you as a part of a couple, my ultimate goal is to help you become securely attached partners. I do this through challenging old and damaging patterns, habits, and ways of relating. I help you to become experts on each other, have each other's backs, communicate effectively, and maneuver through conflict fairly and respectfully. When faulty patterns are replaced, you will experience greater connection, satisfaction, and peace in your relationship.
I also work with individual adults suffering in many different areas, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, grief and loss, self-esteem, life transition, trauma, identity, and self-development. If you are coming in for individual therapy, we can explore life events, relationship challenges, or faulty thought or behavior patterns that are leaving you feeling stuck, overwhelmed or unhappy.
