My Approach to Helping
As a complex trauma therapist, offering help, hope, and healing to abuse victims is my passion and area of specialization. I know it can be scary to enter into individual counseling. I am honored to counsel women and teens who have a complicated life story holding them back from living life to their fullest potential. Together we journey through depression, anxiety, trauma, spirituality, identity, grief & loss, life transitions, difficult family dynamics, anger, forgiveness, shame, guilt, and much more. I have learned that pain is deep, but healing goes deeper.
As a certified clinical trauma professional, anxiety, depression, and suicidal thoughts are present in most clients. I am an outpatient therapist for the largest hospitals in Dallas. I offer education and scientifically based resources and solutions to manage your panic attacks while exploring and healing from your anxiety and depression. I also help you process thoughts, emotions, and experiences that cause suicidal thoughts to find a passion for life.
I offer EMDR for complex trauma histories and single trauma incidents, phobias, and other disturbances that you may be experiencing. I integrate EMDR with my eclectic therapeutic approach utilizing the therapist-client relationship, empathy, and deep care.
I am a Ph.D. student studying trauma psychology; I have two Master of Arts in Counseling and Marriage & Family Therapy. I am only board licensed in professional counseling. The MFT knowledge allows me to view my client's life stories' complexity from a holistic perspective approaching their healing from the deepest roots.
As a Christian therapist, I believe that God has plans for each person to prosper in life, regardless of how the story has been written thus far. Let's work together to write a new ending to a difficult beginning and fulfill your plans and purpose in your life!
