My Approach to Helping
My approach is to help you work through the pain in your life to become a healthy and happier person. I offer individual counseling through telehealth (phone and video sessions). I work on developing self soothing skills to help navigate and resolve difficult anxiety, panic attacks, anger, depression and relationship issues. Fear and negative thoughts can seem so real and debilitating in the moment when they are happening. Many of these anxieties and fears can stem from childhood experiences. If unaware, they can build up over time and limit your motivation.
I offer supportive listening, feedback and years of experience helping to build problem solving skills. Setting better boundaries with instructions is an important step towards achieving a healthier lifestyle and self control. Using awareness tools can help reduce self defeating negative thoughts and behaviors that can cause anxiety, depression and worry.
I offer a variety of mindful, easy to use exercises and homework that can help to increase decision making skills and build self confidence. One of the goals we work on, is the ability to set limits with others and make difficult decisions without losing yourself in the process. You can change your thinking! I provide a warm, open and easy to talk to counseling style, with lots of feedback and discussion. Workable tools and techniques when you need them!
