My Approach to Helping
As a mental health professional, I have spent the last 11 years working with children, teens, adults, couples and families to combat the effects of stress, trauma, abuse, neglect, violence, bullying, substance abuse, mental illness, and more. Through my work as a psychotherapist, I have come to value a holistic, proactive approach to mental health and well-being. So often we wait until “the damage has been done” to seek help, versus proactively developing the skills and resources needed to conquer the difficulties of life.
I believe a healthy relationship with the self is key to happiness and success in life. Using self-awareness and connection to self, I assist individuals in developing a foundational level of emotional wellness. From this foundation, individuals experience improvement and increased satisfaction in all areas of life, including but not limited to: relationships, career, health and wellness, leisure, spirituality and purpose, and overall happiness and contentment in life. My approach is focused on increasing emotional intelligence and resilience, fostering healthy coping strategies and communication skills, enriching relationships, and adopting healthy life habits.
