My Approach to Helping
I enjoy helping people with a variety of emotional, relational and behavioral issues that may be affecting their happiness or daily functioning. My approach is collaborative and focuses on discovering and building upon your strengths to identify creative and effective solutions.
+ ANXIETY MANAGEMENT: I help people learn ways manage anxiety by explaining how the central nervous system works, the effects of anxiety on your body, and collaborating to identify new ways to self-regulate and experience a significant reduction in anxiety symptoms.
+ DIVORCE: I work with couples and families on issues related to separation and/or divorce. Kids in particular often appreciate a safe space where they can process feelings away from their parents.
+ CO-PARENTING COUNSELING: My passion is helping families identify their unique dynamics, needs and preferences, and helping to create individualized family plans such as schedules, household rules and expectations, and co-parenting strategies.
+ "FILM WIDOWS": I also work with "film widows," or people whose significant others work on location in the television and film industries, on the challenges faced with this unconventional lifestyle.
I have a deep belief in a holistic approach to all counseling, and aim to partner with any professionals whom my clients feel may help give dimension to their life experience. This could include attorneys, medical professionals, teachers, caregivers, etc.
