My Approach to Helping

If you’re here, chances are good that you’re going through something very difficult. You may be searching for your own support or trying to find a therapist who can help a loved one. Either way, you’re not alone.

I see clients with a variety of needs. Some come in struggling with deep sadness and lack of motivation, and others are chronically overwhelmed and burned out. Some people want to process a recent life change, such as a break-up or move, and others seek help addressing messy family dynamics impacting themselves or their children.

I’m here to listen, make sense of what's happening and why you're reacting and feeling the way you are, and provide information and feedback so you can get on track to feeling better. Armed with evidence-based theories and coping skills, interpersonal strategies to deepen conversation and understanding of one's self, and relentless curiosity and compassion, I love helping individuals, couples and families move towards their best life.

More Info About My Practice

Your comfort in therapy is important! I offer a free 30-minute consultation by phone or in person to help you determine if we're a good match.

My Therapy Focus

I've worked in the field of therapy with an emphasis on disordered eating, negative body image, anxiety, depression, and emotion regulation for nearly a decade. I use research-based treatment methods including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Family-Based Treatment (FBT). I also integrate aspects of psychodynamic theory, which looks at how childhood events and families of origin have an impact on our adolescent and adult lives. I enjoy seeing people of all ages and offer play therapy for younger clients.
