My Approach to Helping
We all encounter difficult challenging moments in life. My passion lies in helping and motivating individuals to create positive changes which improve their quality of life. I’m empathic and supportive; providing services with a warm and non-judgmental approach to healing. The decision to reach out and seek help from a licensed mental health professional is an act of courage and know that I will work hard to earn your trust. My orientation to helping incorporates a practice grounded in psychodynamic psychotherapy as well as other psychotherapeutic models such as cognitive behavioral, and strengths-basedsolution-focused.
I am also Board Certified in Oncology Social Work (OSW-C) and have worked extensively with adults who have received treatment for cancer and other serious or chronic health conditions (while providing psychological support for their caregivers as well).
Currently, I am training at the Institute for Clinical Social Work in Chicago where I will earn a PhD with a specialty in Psychodynamic therapy. This therapy helps clients process and create meaning from past life events, as well as helps people live life to its fullest. I look forward to getting started with you at your first appointment.
