My Approach to Helping
Greetings!
My name is Alexis, I'm a licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas. I have 4 years of experience in the mental health field, including community, correctional, inpatient, and residential settings.
As a mental health therapist, I primarily work with adolescents, adults, couples, and families who are navigating intrapersonal and interpersonal challenges, seeking a therapeutic space to address life transitions as they come. I'm committed to serving the BIPOC community, queer individuals, and men and women with the use of rational emotive behavior therapy (REBT) and narrative therapy.
My therapeutic specialties include addressing experiences with anxiety, depression, divorce (life during and after), family conflict, grief/loss, life transitions, racial identity/disparities, relationship issues, and stress management.
As your assigned Grow therapist, I'm committed to providing a healthy, interactive therapeutic space with a sense of compassion, empathy, and reassurance. My focus is working with clients in individual settings to cultivate the desire to improve oneself and life experiences.
