My Approach to Helping
My approach to therapy is to provide people with a supportive, collaborative relationship in which they can process current and past experiences, identify problematic patterns and tap into innate abilities. Our process together is rooted in connection, compassion, understanding and insight. I aim to help you appreciate and harness your strengths and better understand your vulnerabilities so that you can truly embrace yourself and thrive.
More Info About My Practice
I have experience treating artists and enjoy helping people work toward their creative potential. I am also interested in treating women and families as they transition into parenthood---during pregnancy, the postpartum period, and beyond. I use an integrated, psychodynamic and mindfulness based approach to help my clients better hold and parent themselves as they learn to do this for another.
How Psychotherapy Can Help
Therapy invites us to observe and listen to ourselves. This observation in turn can allow us to be more connected to our own feelings and eventually better regulate and tolerate them without judgment. I believe therapy is a powerful path toward deeper understanding of ourselves, our relationships, and the world around us that can lead to meaningful change and greater fulfillment. I am dedicated to helping others work toward the increased self-awareness and control that comes from self-exploration.
