My Approach to Helping
“When the well is dry, we know the worth of water.”- Benjamin Franklin
Are you feeling overwhelmed, lost, or isolated? After a year + of isolation and uncertainty, it can be a challenge to handle these challenges that life presents. Covid-19 has presented a unique set of demands and adjustments on top of the existing stressors of everyday life. Even as things begin to return to “normal” you may be having trouble adjusting to just what your “new normal” looks like. Allow me to guide you or your child in maneuvering the waters of life and conquering those challenges.
As a Licensed Resident in Counseling with over 10 years of experience in the mental health field, I have supported youth, active-duty service members, veterans, and geriatric populations. I have worked with clients who are experiencing a range of emotional, mental and relational concerns such as low self-esteem, past trauma, anxiety, and depression. Everyone is different and therapy is not one size fits all, I utilize an Integrative theoretical approach which allows us to incorporate techniques from various evidence-based theories to achieve optimal results for you or your loved ones.
I accept Medicaid and offer a sliding scale which is payable by cash or credit prior to your session. I am available Evenings and by appointment on weekends. It takes great courage to reach out for support and I commend you for taking the first step towards your therapeutic journey. For scheduling or questions, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Jennifer Looney, Office Manager.
